Hacking the Wii: hardware

 

In order to get this whole Wii setup to work, we’re gonna need some infrared LEDs. Right now we’re using some red LEDs from a toy but obviously this isn’t optimal (and also we keep burning the batteries out). I went online and got some schematics and I’m headed to Radio Shack for parts. It should be easy.

…on that front, we can’t get my mac to see all the input data coming from the Wii. This is a problem. I know it’s possible to get more because I can get more to work on a Windows computer but that’s Paris’ computer, not mine. He’s a nice guy to help me but I don’t think saying, ‘Hey, can I borrow this for a few months? Just until thesis is over?” is gonna cut it.
